Manifesto
The number one problem in the United States is the health of its population. There is a massive obesity epidemic. People are chronically ill. Health insurance is too expensive. Good food is scarce. Junk food is abundant. Everyone is stressed. The financial system powering healthcare not only doesn't help. It makes things worse. Healthcare costs are the number one cause of personal bankruptcy. Big insurance companies don't help.
Advances in technology enable humans to solve bigger problems. With the largest advancement to date, it is time to solve the biggest problem of them all. We will fix the healthcare problem. We will blow up the death star and free the population from the chains of chronic disease. We are the rebels.
We build this for the sake of building it. For the sake of imagining the solution to the biggest problem that plagues man. We want to build useful products. Things that enable humans to live better, healthier lives. With current technology, we are distracted from this. This is a period of infinite intelligence. Yet everyone is working within the same ecosystem to solve the same problems. Dev tools to help devs build more dev tools. Agents to sell more agents to more agents. Go to market tools to help more go to market tools go to market. Everyone is selling picks and shovels to fuel the gold rush. But no one has entered the mines. It is time to pick up the shovel and dig.
This hardship is necessary to make the individual consumer better off. And it is time to build for the individual consumer again. Otherwise, the picks and shovels were a waste. The iPhone was revolutionary. The printing press the same. Yet here we are with infinite intelligence and everyone is seeking to automate, not innovate.
Marginal improvement will not help the end user. We must drastically change things for the better. Not by seeking to invent the future, but by building the things that fix the present.
The world is full of bloat. It will forever be full of bloat. It is up to a few individuals, against the will of the rest of the world, to lock themselves away from the noise, to trim the fat that solves these problems. We choose to do this not because it is easy, or a good way to make money, but because it is hard. Because it is the one problem that will pay outsized dividends to the entire population when solved.
